Ben Cooper, MPH, manager of the Institute’s Public Health Data and Training Center, recently attended the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and offered two presentations on recent collaborative projects. The first, “Novel approaches to obesity surveillance using population level data,” involved a partnership with the St. Louis City Department of Health that used a novel approach to gather population-level data for an obesity surveillance program.
The second, “Sexually transmitted infection presentation in a large urban academic emergency department,” is about a study conducted in St. Louis that seeks to understand the burden of sexually transmitted infection care on local emergency departments.
