The Institute for Public Health is welcoming faculty from across Washington University to two events in September.
The Silver Screen Film Series offers free films that explore positive aging themes on Mondays in September.
Currently, the institute’s sole facility is on the Medical Campus, but thanks to alumnus and university trustee Harry Seigle and his wife Susan, the institute soon also will have a home on the Danforth Campus.
The Institute has recently redesigned its Faculty Scholar program and is working to re-engage this group to better support, connect, and amplify faculty work in public health.
Eight students, from an applicant pool of nearly 100, were chosen to participate in the Global Health Center’s inaugural Summer Research Program.
Nancy Morrow-Howell has been elected president of the Gerontological Society of America, the nation’s largest multidisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging.
