This event is open to WashU students, trainees and faculty interested in global health. This event will take place virtually over Zoom. Registration is required for access to the meeting.

Christopher Smyser, MD, MSCI
Dr. Smyser is a professor of Pediatric Neurology in the medical school whose international research interests include using neuroimaging to study the effects of malnutrition on early brain development through a project centered in Cali, Colombia.
Jessica Levy, MPH, PhD
Dr. Levy is an associate professor of Practice in the Brown School and has worked in underserved communities in the US, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. She focuses on the intersection between gender, poverty, and global maternal and child health. Her research is centered on identifying culturally appropriate interventions that promote gender equality and improve reproductive health and development outcomes.
Ana María Arbeláez, MD, MSCI
Dr. Arbeláez is the Division Chief for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the School of Medicine. Her research interests include studying glucose counterregulation using neuroimaging in multidisciplinary domestic and international research teams.
