Call for abstracts: 2022 Institute for Public Health Annual Conference & Poster Session


The Institute for Public Health seeks poster abstracts for its 15th Annual Conference and Poster Session, Health as a Human Right, in person on October 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Eric P. Newman Education (EPNEC) Center on the Medical School campus. The institute encourages submissions related to the theme of health as a human right, however, abstracts on general public health-related topics are also welcome.

Poster session participants are asked to illustrate the significance of their research question or topic and clearly explain its relevance to public health, their approach and methods used, and subsequent results and conclusions.

The poster session will take place immediately following the conference’s conclusion and will be judged. Two poster authors will be recognized for their outstanding work.

DEADLINE: Submissions are due by September 25 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Acceptance notifications will occur on Wednesday, October 5.

Upon acceptance, authors are required to fulfill the following for the annual conference:

  • Provide a short description (2-3 sentences) of your poster
  • Provide a PDF of your poster
  • Have your poster on display at the Eric P. Newman Education Center by 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26
  • Have someone available to discuss your poster during the poster session
