The Center for Health Economics and Policy holds meetings of the Collaborative of Health Economics and Policy Analysis Researchers, or CHEPAR, every 6-8 weeks. The purpose of the group is to facilitate research in the areas of health economics and policy by Washington University investigators.
This meeting will include:
- A featured presentation on current health economics and policy research
- 15-minute spots for attendees to present research in various stages of development, in order to receive feedback from Washington University faculty such as Center Co-Directors Tim McBride, PhD, and Bill Peck, MD; Faculty Lead for Data and Methods Abby Barker, PhD; Faculty Affiliates Derek Brown, PhD, and Karen Joynt Maddox, MD, as well as others in attendance.
- Updates on available technical assistance through the Center for Health Economics and Policy (CHEP)
- Updates on funding opportunities, available datasets and toolkits, and more
These meetings are open to Washington University faculty, staff, students and external collaborators.
No registration is necessary.

Anne Mobley Butler, PhD, MS
Instructor in Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Washington University School of Medicine
Dr. Butler’s research focuses on answering important clinical questions about drug and vaccine utilization, effectiveness, safety, and related outcomes. Her work involves the application of epidemiologic study designs and analytic methods, including comparative effectiveness research methodology, to data from large clinical and healthcare utilization databases. Dr. Butler’s research interests include infectious disease and renal disease.
