Global Health Conversations is an exciting monthly forum for trainees, faculty and staff to engage in topics of interest to the global community. The event is organized by the Global Health Student Advisory Committee.

This month’s conversation features Dr. Ulf Ekelund and focuses on implementing strategies to increase physical activity in developing countries as a means to reduce mortality: opportunities and challenges.

Professor Ekelund is a world-renowned expert on physical activity with over 200 published papers.  He will be discussing his recent article in The Lancet entitled,  “Does physical activity attenuate, or even eliminate, the detrimental association of sitting time with mortality? A harmonised meta-analysis of data from more than 1 million men and women.”
