To support the capacity development of community partners, the Center for Community Health Partnership and Research (CCHPR) has awarded 16 scholarships to individuals in local organizations. The funding will enable the staff to attend week-long virtual professional development courses offered through the Brown School Summer Institute at Washington University in St. Louis. The scholarship supports intensive learning and skill building in the areas of data management, leadership and policy.
CCHPR received more than 50 applications; awardees were selected based on rationale for how the course would benefit their role within the organization, as well as how their learning would be shared and sustained to support overall capacity within their organization.
Recipients from the following organizations received scholarships:
Alive & Well Communities; Places for People, Immigrant Service Providers Network, Peace Weaving Wholeness, Casa de Salud, The Pink Angels Foundation, Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, St Louis Chapter, Girls on the Run St. Louis, Our Lady’s Inn, Services for Independent Living, St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, University of Missouri Extension, and Project DEAMHI, Inc.
The announcement and application for the Summer Institute scholarship is released annually each Spring.
