Dr. Hammill’s research has focused on clinical outcomes in hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery for benign and malignant indications. Specifically in the areas of ablation therapies and minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He is currently interested in the use of wearables for remote monitoring of patients around surgery and the use of machine learning to improve surgical evaluation and outcomes.
