Much of Dr. Lew’s existing work is around factors related to mental health and risk behaviors of adolescents. She has also examined the interplay between home and neighborhood characteristics, maternal mental health, and the resultant mental health of adolescent children. She has conducted geospatial data analyses and worked with large publicly available datasets to better understand and characterize information about population health. Among her many other interests, Dr. Lew strives to understand the impact of multiple, different social determinants of health on clinical patient outcomes.
