Professor Olynyk’s current work involving public health focuses on two primary areas: 1) Medical Humanities (specifically, the role of art in advancing discourse related to medical science and its histories), and 2) the role of art in community projects and socially engaged projects. She is the inaugural fellow in Medicine + Media Art at UCLA’s Art/Sci Center.
