Stan Braude, PhD, EMT

Teaching Professor of Biology, Arts and Sciences

Much of Stan Braude’s research focuses on mechanisms of aging and understanding the evolutionary forces that shape patterns of aging. In addition, he has worked and published on models of wound infection and healing, immuno-redistribution, genetic screening, and science education. Professor Braude teaches Wilderness Emergency Medicine and was instrumental in editing “A Consumer’s Guide to 21st Century Health and Medicine.” In 2022, he was honored with the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award.
