Each fall, the Institute for Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis hosts a popular and informative annual conference.
The Institute for Public Health Annual Conference is a great way to get to know the institute and learn more about primary public health topics affecting our community, our state and the globe.
The conference features an introduction by the university chancellor and Institute for Public Health Director, William G. Powderly, MD regarding the latest institute news and public health findings, issues and advocacy.
The audience participates in panel discussions with the invited speakers and topic experts from St. Louis and beyond.
Following are poster presentations which are judged and prizes awarded. Attendees also have the opportunity to network with speakers and panelists, poster presenters, and fellow students or colleagues.
Among other timely issues, past conference topics have included: infant and maternal health outcomes, action toward health equity, evidence-based public health, mental health and obesity as a core public health issues.
