cognitive health, disability, intervention research, mental & behavioral health, outcomes research, study recruitment, underserved & vulnerable

Dr. Wong’s research focuses on developing innovative outcome assessments and interventions to improve mental health, cognition, and participation among vulnerable populations, including persons with disabilities or chronic conditions as they transition to community living.

His research seeks to (1) develop and implement patient-reported outcome measures e.g. PROMIS and NIH Toolbox to evaluate health outcomes; (2) test and develop effective behavioral interventions to maximize cognitive health, and prevent disability; and (3) understand the psychosocial and neurocognitive mechanisms underlying health disparities and participation inequalities. Other interests include ambulatory assessments and technology-based behavioral interventions.
