Dr. Dale’s research is in the area of occupational health and safety with a primary focus on injury prevention, epidemiology, and health promotion. Her studies include community-based workplace assessment of existing health and safety programs, implementation and evaluation of interventions, and analysis of large data sets to identify important factors affecting health.

Dr. Dale’s current populations are in construction industry, retail grocers, healthcare, and office workers. Her team has used a variety of intervention methods including worker participatory programs, modification to formal education programs, and modifications to workplace health and safety management systems. Her studies are focused on the reduction of chronic musculoskeletal disorders, obesity, and other personal behaviors that lead to poor health.
