Dr. Mejia’s research centers on mycobacterial infections, both Nontuberculous Mycobacteria and tuberculosis. He works on several projects in Guatemala with the Infectious Disease Clinic at Roosevelt Hospital and the Ministry of Health’s National Program against Tuberculosis. His current project gauges spatial analysis of the country’s HIV epidemic and the main predictors of MDR-TB in Guatemala.
