Dr. Brown is interested in documenting the cardiovascular health consequences of our current health-care system, in particular the effect of uninsurance and underinsurance. Because of the inequity in our current system of health care, he is an advocate for a single-payer health system.

Dr. Brown’s research interests are derived from unanswered clinical questions that arise during patient care, using an assortment of public and private data sets. He employs multivariable logistic regression analysis, Cox proportional hazards analysis, Kaplan-Meier (survival) analysis and meta-analysis.
