Dr. Reno’s research focuses on factors that lead to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in at-risk individuals in order to reduce rates of infection. She is also the medical director of the St. Louis County STD Clinic.
Dr. Reno’s ongoing research includes examining the use of extra-genital testing for Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis in patients living with HIV, as well as patients that present to a local STI clinic. She is also interested in the access, care and follow-up for patients seeking care in local emergency departments, and in prevention services such as better testing, counseling, STI education and partner treatment.
