Research in the Professor Zacks’ laboratory explores cognition in complex, naturalistic domains. Topics include event cognition, spatial reasoning and navigation, and graphical cognition. He uses methods including behavioral experimentation, computational modeling, eye tracking, and neuroimaging. The people studied include adults across the lifespan from a wide range of backgrounds, children, people with early stage Alzheimer’s disease, and people at risk for PTSD.
