Dr. Steensma is a practitioner of public health who has spent his career translating the science of public health into marketable and sustainable goods and services that improve the human condition. As a Professor of Practice, his role is to help in the ‘translation’ of research into the market. The vast majority of his work has been in the area of environmental and occupational health. More specifically, he has focused on bringing impactful public health solutions to market. He also teaches in the areas of environmental health, biostatistics, and social entrepreneurship.
