Dr. Jackson studies how personality serves as a risk factor for premature mortality and a number of serious illnesses and diseases. His investigations of the pathways between personality and health outcomes examine biophysiological, social, behavioral, and cognitive mechanisms. Dr. Jackson’s studies are typically conducted using large scale longitudinal datasets.
