Dr. Punch’s focus is on resident education in gun violence management and prevention, as well as community engagement with organizations focused on limiting the impact of gun violence. They have participated in a number of educational sessions to share the perspective of their experience as a trauma surgeon providing care to victims of gun violence. In addition, Dr. Punch has organized several educational sessions to teach medical trainees about the impact and nature of gun violence.
