Dr. Kepper’s research focuses on social, economic, and environmental conditions that shape the health of individuals and communities. She uses innovative qualitative and quantitative methods to demonstrate the importance and interplay of neighborhood social and physical environments on physical activity, diet, and obesity-related outcomes from preschool to adulthood. She combines the disciplines of behavioral and community health, informatics and implementation science to design, disseminate, and sustain interventions that overcome barriers and help reduce health disparities.
