Dr. Price’s research interests encompass a range of psychiatric, substance abuse, and trauma epidemiology and prevention topics. Most recently she has been examining methodologic and epidemiologic information on human trafficking with a focus on global and domestic tracking and identification and prevention/intervention strategies for victims and survivors, especially in the areas of PTSD, substance abuse and other behavioral and environmental risk factors. Topics included in this area range from local risk mapping in the St. Louis Metropolitan area to estimation and validation of human trafficking cases in South Africa. Previously she examined trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, and suicidality of US military personnel and veterans over 15 plus years. To promote public health education, Dr. Price is a core faculty of the Master of Public Health Sciences teaching courses on the global burden of disease, psychiatric assessment in the digital age and addiction and addictive behaviors.
