As vice chairman for education, Dr. Cox is focused on creating innovative educational programs, which promote career development in the areas of leadership, education, patient safety and quality improvement, and global health.
Dr. Cox is particularly interested in exploring international partnerships and establishing international teaching sites. Future collaborations with international partners will focus on the development of meaningful educational programs and quality improvement initiatives. International programs focused on improving patient safety through education, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives has the potential to create a novel model for future global health partnerships. Our international partnerships will also provide exceptional opportunities for our students, residents, fellows and faculty at Washington University in St. Louis to work with colleagues in other countries.
