William C. Dunagan, MD, MS

Dr. Dunagan is primarily focused on organizational strategies for improving health, improving health care, and lowering the cost of care. Within this broad context, he is focused on pragmatic research testing the effectiveness of healthcare delivery strategies in different contexts, while also exploring new models for delivering high-value care and addressing non-medical factors affecting health outcomes, particularly in underserved areas.

Dr. Dunagan’s projects utilize large data sets to identify and examine important issues in population health and healthcare. He is also increasingly interested in mixed-methods research and design-centered concept development as alternative research strategies for solving challenging healthcare delivery problems and delivering patient-centered care.
