
The Brown School’s International Center for Child Health and Development (ICHAD) reports that two Institute for Public Health Faculty Scholars, Proscovia Nabunya, PhD, MSW, assistant professor and co-director of ICHAD; and Patricia Cavazos-Rehg, PhD, professor of psychiatry at the School of Medicine, have received a five-year $1.2 million research grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to address depression among youth living with HIV in Uganda.
The study, Suubi-Mhealth, is a collaboration between the Brown School and the School of Medicine that will develop a mobile health intervention for use among Ugandan youth experiencing both HIV and depression. Read more about the project.
