ANDES Study

Hypertension is the major contributor to the global burden of disease. Completion of this proposed cluster randomized trial will provide compelling, robust evidence on the effects of a multicomponent intervention aimed at reducing blood pressure levels in a high-risk, vulnerable population in Puno, Peru. These data are urgently needed to inform policies in low- and middle-income countries on the health gains that can be obtained by implementation strategies geared towards reducing reduce hypertension among vulnerable populations.
