Jeannie C. Kelly is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist with a clinical focus in treating patients with maternal morbidity, especially substance use disorders, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, and infectious conditions such as COVID-19 and hepatitis C. She is the medical director of the Clinic for Acceptance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) in Pregnancy, a multidisciplinary, wrap-around substance use disorder (SUD) prenatal clinic that is staffed by obstetric clinicians and psychiatrists who provide comprehensive prenatal and opioid agonist treatment (OAT). She is an expert in COVID-19 infection and management during pregnancy, and conducts research with a team of multidisciplinary collaborators to characterize the prevalence, severity, and effects of COVID-19 infection during pregnancy, and strategies to improve vaccination efforts during pregnancy.
