Kevin Xu studies the real-world effectiveness of addiction medications with a focus on treatment gaps in populations underrepresented in randomized controlled trials, such as pregnant women. He also investigates racial disparities in receipt of medication to treat opioid use disorder and assesses how racialized differences in treating OUD may impact the drugs’ effectiveness against overdose.
