Communications Manager

Kim is responsible for planning and executing the internal/external communications strategy, branding, news and promotional content for the institute and its seven centers and initiatives. She also writes and manages the institute’s website content, production of eight newsletters and oversees the unit’s social media messaging and strategy, all of which illuminate the institute’s interdisciplinary local to global public health work.

Kim has been a news director and on-air personality in both radio and television and has 25 years’ agency and entrepreneurial experience creating and implementing communications, public and community relations plans for clients in the telecommunications, hospitality and entertainment industries and in the secondary and higher education sectors.

Kim enjoys seeing and performing music and theatre and is guardian to her toddler granddaughter, Ivy.
