Nandini Raghuraman is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist who has completed several clinical obstetric studies focused on labor and delivery and antepartum complications.  She studies intrapartum interventions that optimize fetal status while minimizing maternal morbidity.  One of her ongoing NIH-funded clinical trials, compares the effect of maternal oxygen versus room air in response to fetal heart rate tracings on maternal and neonatal outcomes. She is also principal investigator for several ongoing labor-related prospective studies. Raghuraman’s long-term goal is to lead multi-center interventional studies during labor and delivery to ultimately implement an evidence-based approach to labor management.
