Powderly, MD, says it is not surprising that COVID-19 cases are rising after a holiday weekend. The number of positive COVID-19 cases has reportedly doubled across the U.S. during the last three weeks.
Powderly is also the J. William Campbell Professor of Medicine and co-director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Washington University in St. Louis.
