Not Another One

Last month the Saint Louis Story Stitchers convened a group in the Guns in the Hands of Artists exhibit at the Des Lee Gallery, to videotape a frank conversation about gun violence with St. Louis teens and community leaders.

The resulting video, embedded below, is titled “Not another one!” Participants include Jason Purnell, assistant professor at the Brown School; Renee Manley-Markowski of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital; Rachel Smith, Chief Prosecutor from the Circuit Attorney’s Office and the Community Affairs Bureau; Ronnie Robinson, Deputy Chief of Police for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department; and Carl Filler, Director of Strategic Policy Initiatives and Community Partnerships for the City of St. Louis.

Saint Louis Story Stitchers is an artists’ collective “dedicated to documenting Saint Louis, Missouri through art and word” sponsored in part by the Regional Arts Commission.

The video and event were sponsored in part by the Institute for Public Health and the Gun Violence: A Public Health Crisis Initiative.
