Center for Health Economics & Policy to offer technical assistance through the Just-In-Time Funding Program of the ICTS

The Center for Health Economics and Policy (CHEP) has become a Core eligible for funding through the Just-In-Time (JIT) Core Usage Funding Program, offered by the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS). This program is designed to provide quick access to funding to utilize technical assistance available through ICTS-affiliated Cores, including CHEP, to support research advancing medical knowledge to improve human health.

Core areas of analysis in which CHEP will be able to provide technical assistance include:

  • Cost/Cost-effectiveness analysis
  • Difference-in-difference analysis
  • Simulation methods
  • Decision analysis

In this funding scheme, CHEP will support investigators on projects designed to obtain final data:

  1. for developing a clinical/translational proposal to be submitted for extramural funding, or
  2. leading to a concrete improvement in patient care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital or St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Details of how proposals address one of these eligible objectives are required in the application. Grant applications are accepted monthly and are due on the 10th of every month. Applicants may request up to $5,000 from the ICTS, awarded directly to CHEP when core services are used. Funds are provided for up to one year. Additional information and application forms are available here.

The applicant must be a registered member of the ICTS (information and membership guidelines are available on the ICTS website). Applicants are also encouraged to become faculty scholars in the Institute for Public Health.

Please email icts@wustl.edu if you have specific questions on ICTS membership or the JIT program, or call Andi Cox (314-362-7707) or Jaimee Stagner (314-362-6325).

For further information on how CHEP can support your JIT proposal, please contact Leah Kemper or 314-935-3514.
